Q: Do I have to pay at my first visit?
A: NO! There is no upfront cost to you. All bills will be filed with the liable insurance company. We will wait until the case has been settled for payment.
Q: How quickly will I be able to get an appointment?
A: Most of the time we are able to get you in the same day you call; if not you will be seen within 24 to 48 hours after calling. It is vital for you to begin treatment as soon as possible!
Q: Do I need an attorney?
A: You do not have to have an attorney to file a claim when you have been injured – but it can be helpful. We are happy to help you decide if you need to retain an attorney. If you do retain legal representation, we will work directly with their office to provide medical records or any other information they may need to assist in your case.
Q: What if I need X-Rays, an MRI or a CT Scan?
A: We are able to take care of these tests at no upfront cost to you.
Q: Will I receive pain medication for my injuries?
A: On your first visit our provider will examine you and at that time write you a prescription if they feel it is necessary.
Q: How do I become a new patient?
A: Call our clinic (405) 943-0303 and speak to one of our Patient Care Coordinators. You’ll want to bring your insurance cards with you and any information you have on the responsible party.
Q: Do you have to have medical insurance?
A: Many people who are involved in an automobile accident delay seeking medical care or treatment because they don’t have medical insurance. When you come to The Brooks Clinic you never have to worry about that. We don’t require you to have medical insurance, which means you can get the care you need even if you don’t have current coverage. This is possible, in part, because we deal with the liable party’s automobile insurance company to make sure that you get the care you need.
Q: Do I need a referral from my Primary Care Doctor?
A: No, you don’t. When you come for your first examination, our Patient Care Coordinator will help explain the entire process and how it works. We’ll take the information about the auto accident and work directly with the insurance company to get your claim paid.
